I had the most romantic experience at this amazing villa in Tuscany. On one of the nature walks, my boyfriend proposed to me. The apartment we stayed in was fabulous and the dinner at the restaurant was delicious. I can't wait to come back for a longer stay!

The location was beautiful, pool perfect and the property charming. The room was very large, comfortable with great views. We liked its location in the breakfast building. I loved the fresh raspberries and fresh juices at breakfast. The cooking class and instructors were a highlight of our stay.
Felt welcomed, no reason to complain.

Quietness , pricey for an agritourist hotel. A little too quite and remote for our taste
Room was spacious and first class. Setting wonderful.

The grounds are very beautiful and serene, though the "private" signs all over the place made it rather unwelcoming.
Very overpriced for the quality of the accommodation. The bed was uncomfortable - with serious sagging on one side. Our first room (we asked to be moved and they kindly obliged, which was good of them) was a dark musty apartment that had a large spider with eggs in the bathroom and some dirt in the bath proper. The shower was in the bath and handheld so quite inconvenient. Supposedly this was a superior room they had "upgraded" us to, but when we asked we were moved into a basic room that seemed a hundred times nicer (aside from the bed - though the first room's bed was also uncomfortable). Apart from that the service was generally very hands off, they advertise a winery tour and a restaurant that were not mentioned at all during our stay. Breakfast was expensive at 14 euro pp and is in a separate building down a hill. We ate there twice and on the second occasion (which was reasonably busy - though not terribly busy) were ignored by the service staff for quite some time - despite requests for coffee and our table to be provided with plates/cutlery. We don't mind reserved service but generally it seemed to be the sort of place where you needed to assert yourself to get the basics,so couldn't recommend at this price.

We loved the great view of the countryside and the relaxation we experienced by the pool overlooking the valley. this is a great area to visit if you want a Tuscan experience.
The only thing that we were not pleased with was no screens on the upstairs loft bedroom, which meant that we had to deal with many mosquitos during the night. We also han many bites in the morning.

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The location was perfect, nestled in the rolling hills of Tuscany with fine views all day. We enjoyed a nice sunset dinner and even took a dip in the pool as the sun rose. The view from the vineyard was exactly what we had imagined. The hotel itself was charming and well-maintained, with sophisticated details and a great book selection in our room. The two beautiful pools were a delight, and the friendly staff, especially Davide at the reception, made us feel welcome. The restaurant was also fantastic, offering great food and service. we couldn't have asked for a better experience.
Absolutely nothing.

Fantastic surroundings, nature, arcitecture, wine and food. Unforgettable! And the crew was very service minded and helpful assisting us with anything. The two pools and the spa was great and we used it a lot during the stay. Don't forget to try Restoro de Lamole about 7 km up the hill from Vignamaggio. Great food and view over the whole valley. Perfect!

The reception staff was very friendly and helped us with restaurant suggestions and reservations. As well the pool areas were well maintained and enjoyable.
We stayed in the Casolese aprartments, and the only drawback was that there is some noise from the traffic.

This place is a true slice of Tuscan heaven. The villa apartments are spacious and impeccably cleaned daily. The rustic furniture and four-poster beds add a charming touch. The small kitchenettes are useful, and the outside patio offers breathtaking views of the countryside. The large swimming pool is a bonus. The breakfast buffet is a feast, with fresh fruits, cheeses, and freshly baked bread. The property is surrounded by olive trees and vineyards, perfect for exploring.
Mosquitoes can be a nuisance during summer months, so remember to bring repellent.

Leaving the property.
Staff is poorly trained. Front desk open from 9 A.M. to 7 P.M. only. Staff was nice there but no staff on the property after 7---you are alone in a rural area for 14 hrs. Each day. God forbid there is a serious problem. Grounds have been let go. Appears 75 yr. Old gardener is the only one taking care of property. Wellness center is not staffed-- no towels, no lockers, no robes If you make an appointment, therapist shows up but is not present other times. Tennis court closed. Both pools were not staffed with anyone during 4 day stay. The whole property is self-service and looks shoddy. Breakfast ok but is an expensive additional charge. Dinner a disaster. Has the appearance of a forthcoming bankruptcy. And it's not cheap either.

A spur of the moment decision (next day travel) an acquaintance had recommended Verrazano Winery just south of Florence, however they were closed for the month of November. I couldn't get Chianti out of my mind so I kept looking. Unsuccessfully. Disheartened, I turned to www.Booked.net and hit the proverbial jackpot. Villa Vignamaggio is open during November, the crowds are gone. It is an agritourism hotel so there is a working winery, a fattoria, and they have several wine tours to choose from. We booked a suite (Mimosa); it was lovely, old world splendor. The rooms were spotless. The grounds are magnificent, there are two beautiful pools for the summer months, the staff gracious, the beds and furniture comfortable, the food exquisite and the wine tour with lunch included was wonderful.
